Easily handle loads up to 2.5 tonne with the strong and high tensile steel forks equipped Godrej Pallet truck. The hydraulic pump is designed to be efficient and easy to maintain. This pallet truck is equipped with easy to operate 3 position lever which ensure a fatigue free lowering and lifting operation, boosting productivity. Tandem load rollers are provided to ensure that the pallet truck has constant contact with the ground, even on uneven surfaces. It also provides uniform distribution of load on the rollers, thus increasing their life.

Features

Heavy duty hydraulic pump

Hydraulic pump being a critical part of a pallet truck, needs to withstand thousands of Lift/Lower cycles. This is easy and inexpensive to maintain, with genuine spare parts that are easily available.

High Tensile steel forks with square cross-section tie bar

The bend profile of the forks provides extra strength at key stress areas. It also ensures lower wear of forks while handling pallets.

Three Position control lever for easy operation

An easy to operate 3 position lever, with lower, lift and neutral positions increases productivity. In the neutral position the handle is disconnected from the pump unit, reducing the effort required to travel with load thereby reducing operator fatigue. Spring loaded handle ensures that it returns back to vertical position when released.

Tandem Load Rollers for easy movement

Tandem load rollers are provide to ensure that the pallet truck has a constant contact with the ground, even on uneven surfaces. lt also provides uniform distribution of load on the rollers, thus increasing their life.

CII Design Excellence Award 2014 for the Godrej 1.6 tonne, 3-wheel electric forklift

We wanted to extend our range of 3-wheel electric forklifts to the next model – 1.6 tonne capacity. One of our young design engineers was given charge of this project with the mandate to look at this model from an international perspective. It had to be Made in India, Made for the World.

A study of what kind of customers would use this forklift and for what applications, formed the foundation for the specification. We then reviewed the top 5 global players’ offerings in this range and gained sufficient insights to go ahead with development.

During the journey we gained new capabilities – indigenous development of wet disc brakes, electro-hydraulic controls and adapting a rear wheel drive power train with power steering for forklift operations. The forklift meets Indian and ISO safety standards. Besides functionality and specification, a lot of attention to operator ergonomics and lines of the machine resulted in a product that is truly distinctive.

We are happy and proud that this new model was awarded the CII Design Excellence Award for 2014 for Industrial Design under the sub-category Tools, Equipment and Gauges at an even hosted by the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry)in November 2014.

The CII Design Excellence Award is arecognition and celebration of Indian design. This award discovers new paradigms of design in India, which answers the call of making Indian industry and manufacturing more competitive and innovative. The award presents the emerging face of design in India and its newer manifestations

Godrej Material Handling has received the Warehouse / Material Handling Company of the Year award at the 9th Express Logistics and Supply Chain (ELSC) Leadership Awards, held on 29th September 2015, at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The Awards selection was based on the criteria of the company size, automation processes being used, innovative ideas, new concepts, and technologies that generate real value for money and CSR initiatives.

On receiving the award, Cavas Dumasia, Vice President, Sales and Marketing - GMH said, “The award is a culmination of special efforts we have taken towards increasing our engagement with customers by offering a wide range of products and services. We continue this customer focus through our initiatives of key account management, network expansion and improving our processes such as TOC, service contract implementation etc. to enhance customer experience.”

Over the last several years, ELSC has developed a reputation as Asia’s largest gathering for Logistics and supply chain management professionals, all on one platform, discussing the present and future course of supply chain industry at large.

Godrej Material Handling has a state of the art manufacturing facility at Vikhroli, Mumbai with a capacity to manufacture over 200 forklifts and completely overhaul 50 trucks every month.

Manufacturing activities are carried out in an area of 125000 square feet primarily consisting of Body shop, Axle & Transmission shop, Mast shop, Assembly shop, centralized CNC and Paint shops. Each shop is equipped with a number of conventional machines used to manufacture their respective sub-assemblies.

CNC shop comprises Turning centers and Machining centers.

We employ time proven manufacturing techniques like:

Application of TQM techniques for Quality Assurance.
Single Piece Flow lines for all critical assemblies.
Cell concept of machining.
Multi-skilling

Godrej continually introduces new products and technologies to the Indian customer. This is one of the things that has kept us ahead of the market.

We have developed electric forklifts that can work outdoors and in heavy rain – something not available 3 years ago – because that is what customers need. Another shift is towards more productive and safer equipment – an area to which Godrej has always paid a lot of attention to. All our new models are much faster and move 10-20% more goods per hours than before and a lot more safely too. Proximity warning lights, electrically connected seats, auto slowing around corners, etc are just some ways we can be confident that faster machines are also safe. The third trend is towards IoT and automation. Godrej have already developed an indigenous IoT system for its forklifts which is under field trials at the moment. The fourth trend is digitization. Younger users – whether they are managers or forklift operators – do not want to work with paper. Everything has to be digital. So we have developed digital manuals, digital communication platforms, digital training programs, etc.

Service is equally important. Godrej have developed the widest basket of services for Indian customers. From simple annual service contracts to complete operations and maintenance contracts, we do it all. For customers its great because they freeze their spend on their fork trucks, Godrej takes care of the rest. We also offer forklifts on rent to customers who want to stay asset light or need additional equipment to meet peak demand. We have been investing a lot in our manufacturing facility for capability and capacity expansion.
